ScreenSnap Lite

A small screen recorder I made for myself. Press Ctrl+R (or ⌘R on Mac), record, get a link. No install.

I built this because I kept launching OBS just to record a 10-second clip of a bug. Built-in screen recorders are slow and don't give you a shareable link. So this does one thing: record your screen and copy a link to your clipboard when you stop.

Side project, mostly for personal use. A few friends asked me to share it so here it is. If something's broken, open an issue.

What it does

• Press Ctrl+R / ⌘R to start/stop recording from anywhere
• Uploads automatically and puts a link in your clipboard
• No installer — single executable, runs from anywhere
• ~30 MB RAM, minimal CPU overhead
• Game mode for GPU-accelerated capture (60fps)
• Basic trim tool built in

What it doesn't do

• Audio recording (coming at some point)
• Linux (not tested, contributions welcome)
• Local saving without upload (planned)
